Attorney Terrie Benson Murray |

Partner Terrie Benson Murray is a lifelong resident of Western New York. After graduating from Gowanda Central High School, she attended the State University of New York at Fredonia, graduating summa cum laude with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and History. She earned her Juris Doctor Degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Law. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association. She is a also a member the Bar Association of Erie County where she is a member of the Elder Law, Practice and Procedure in Surrogate’s Court, Bankruptcy and Intellectual Property committees.

The head of the firm’s Trusts, Estates and Elderlaw Practice, Terrie was formerly with the UAW Legal Services Plan, which is a prepaid legal benefit program provided by the Big Three automakers for their union employees. As manager of two of their local offices for over 17 years, she provided legal representation to hundreds of Western New York autoworkers, in the areas of Estates and Trusts and Bankruptcy. Over the years, she has also practiced in the areas of real estate, adoptions, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act litigation in federal court, matrimonial and family practice, and civil litigation.

Terrie is an active member of her church, the Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, having served on the Session, the Christian Education, Property and Worship Commissions, and the Personnel and Nominating committees. She taught Sunday school for many years, sings with the Sanctuary Choir and rings with the Wilson Memorial Handbell Choir. She has sung with the Orchard Park Chorale and the St. Anthony of Padua RC Church Camerata Choir. She is a founding member and officer of PEO Chapter CM, a women’s organization dedicated to assisting women who wish to pursue higher education, by providing scholarships and loans. She serves the community as Chair of the Board of the Southtowns Family Center, which houses the Southtown’s satellite of the Family Justice Center, a provider of services for victims of domestic abuse. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Neighborlink, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation which links volunteers with those in need in the Western New York area.
