Congratulations to C&L Attorney Christopher M. Duggan and his wife Tami (who did most of the work) on the birth of their baby boy. Joseph Duggan was born at 11:11 pm on Tuesday, April 17, 2007. He weighed 7lbs 5 oz at birth. Tami and Joseph are doing well. Chris’s feet have yet to touch the ground.
On Wednesday, March 7, 2007, MaryAnn Freedman, Katherine Bestine, Daniel Sperrazza and Melissa Cavagnaro along with Judge Deborah A. Haendiges and Judge John F. Batt hosted a seminar entitled the “2007 Matrimonial and Family Law Update for Mental Health Professionals”. The Seminar was a terrific success and by all accounts, those attending truly appreciated the updates and the opportunity to interact with two Judges who have an impact on the lives of so many in Western New York.
C&L Attorney Jonathan D. Cox was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Buffalo Art Studio. The Buffalo Art Studio is a Not-for-Profit Corporation dedicated to providing affordable studio space for under-represented and emerging artists, regular exposure for artists through exhibitions, and enrichment of the community through classes and creative public art programs. The Studio is available to artists working in a variety of artistic mediums including: photography, painting, printmaking, sculpture and wood working.
Anthony M. Nosek has recently been named as Village Attorney for the Village of Depew. This is not the first time that Anthony has been the Attorney for a local Town or Village. In the past, Anthony has been Village Attorney for the Village of Lancaster. Thank you, Tony, for your public service.
Neil Sherwood recently made a presentation at a Legislative breakfast sponsored by the Southern Tier Builders Association and Builder Partners. Neil educated the elected public servants and other who attended about Section 240 and 241 of the New York Labor Law, which makes certain contractors and owners “absolutely liable” for employee accidents.
Stuart Shapiro has been asked to share his experience and knowledge at a New York State Bar Association Seminar entitled the 2007 Insurance Coverage Update – Focus on First Party Coverage Issues to be held on May 18, 2007.
Nurse Paralegal Diane L. Reboy was a speaker at a seminar on March 22, 2007 entitled “Interpreting Medical Information.” The seminar was attended by Attorneys, other Nurse Paralegals and Medical Administrative Assistants.
